Biography
Maggie Liu is a post bachelor’s research associate at the Joint Global Change Research Institute (JGCRI), a partnership between Pacific Northwest National Laboratory and the University of Maryland. Prior to joining JGCRI in 2024, Liu worked at Shell for 9 years as a refinery process engineer supporting operations in both day-to-day and long-term activities for a variety of technologies, including hydro-processing, alkylation, reactive distillation, and catalytic reforming. Her work at JGCRI focuses on improving the representation of the refining sector in the Global Change Analysis Model through model development and analysis.
Liu holds a BS in chemical engineering from the University of Washington and a BS in computer science from Oregon State University.
