Kevin Duffy
Biography
Kevin Duffy is a social scientist whose research focuses on understanding community perceptions and priorities related to technology innovation and energy development, including the role of communication, collaboration, and networks. Kevin draws on his background in media production and risk analysis to support the resilience of human and environmental systems and maximize the impact of research and development across sectors.
Kevin is involved in a number of multidisciplinary projects, which include assessing stakeholder networks and development pathways for innovative fish passage technology; analyzing the evolution of media narratives about marine energy; defining models for co-design in energy development; characterizing the communities engaged in energy development; evaluating the structure of a community-based technical assistance program; and directly engaging over 100 members of the hydropower community in collaborative goal setting and tracking through the Hydropower Vision Roadmap.
