Biography

Kaushik Thallapally is a Software Engineer at Human Centered Computing within the Artificial Intelligence and Data Analytics Division and National Security Directorate. He began his career in 2018 as a NSIP Intern. Over the years, Kaushik has led the development and deployment of critical applications, notably the NSDD Frontline App. This cross-platform tool provides NSDD partner countries immediate access to vital information concerning radiation detection equipment, operational on web, Android, and iOS platforms. Available in 12 languages, the app supports maintenance contractors, training coordinators, and law enforcement personnel across 50 countries, equipping them for the effective performance of detection and deterrence duties.

Thallapally also spearheaded the development of the NSDD SVFG App, the NSDD IMS App for nuclear security, and the ComCheck/ResCheck App for the DOE Energy Codes Program. His recent work includes operationalizing ARAM security systems at both Portland International Airport and Moldova's Chișinău International Airport, highlighting his capability to implement complex solutions in diverse environments and underscoring his commitment to enhancing security and operational efficiency through innovative technology.
