Justin Almquist is a senior software engineer and leads the Software Engineering and Architectures team within the National Security Directorate at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory. With more than 20 years in software development and research, Almquist uses his technical expertise in cloud architectures, big data, and software engineering to lead multidisciplinary teams working on novel, mission-oriented projects.

Almquist manages a team of software engineers, who specialize in cloud-native architectures, sophisticated data pipelines, and scalable, big data analytics. The team operates in a highly agile manner to adapt to changing needs while producing automation for various environments. The team also works closely with experts in data science and human-centered computing to drive real-world solutions.
