Biography

Jennifer Henderson, Project Manager on the Performance Evaluation Team within the Energy and Environment Directorate at PNNL, applies innovative methodologies and data-driven insights to address complex challenges at the intersection of public health, building systems, and the environment. Her work plays a pivotal role in advancing national efforts to strengthen health and resilience against emerging global health threats and risks.

As a Certified Industrial Hygienist, Jennifer has a proven record of developing and implementing evidence-based solutions to safeguard workers, the public, infrastructure, and the environment for chemical, biological, and physical stressors. In her previous role as Worker Safety and Health Manager, she spearheaded industrial hygiene and occupational health programs, utilizing robust data analysis and risk characterization to proactively mitigate stressors and reduce the likelihood of disease, injury, and operational disruptions.

Throughout her career, Jennifer has held diverse roles in research and operations, spanning environmental research, toxicology, air quality, risk characterization, public health, and occupational and environmental hygiene. Her career also includes supporting the Smithsonian Institution and serving as a Research Industrial Hygienist at the University of Washington, where she conducted field investigations, exposure assessments, programmatic and policy development, and evaluated novel technology applications. By harnessing data-driven strategies and fostering innovative approaches, Jennifer strives to shape policies, programs, and operations that enhance health and resilience at local, national, and global levels.
