Biography
Jim Ogle is the Director of Electricity Infrastructure Sector at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory where he leads initiatives aimed at modernizing the U.S. electric grid for a more resilient and reliable energy future. With over 30 years of experience spanning utility transmission and distribution operations, distributed intelligent systems, advanced energy management, and cybersecurity, Jim directs research in advanced distribution systems, sensors and data analytics, communications systems, and secure grid operations. He holds patents in data management and smart meter communications, enhancing systems reliability and resilience. Jim is an active member of the International Electrotechnical Commission and earned degrees in electrical engineering from Seattle University and Columbia University.
