Biography

Elizabeth Eder is a chemist in the Environmental Molecular Sciences Division at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL). She works on nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy to perform metabolic profiling of complex mixtures from environmental and microbiological sources. She joined PNNL in 2017 as a post-bachelor’s research associate after earning her biology degree. She returned as a staff scientist in 2021. Her research interests focus on applying NMR metabolomics to study the interactions between microbes, plants, and soils in nutrient cycling.
