Biography

Carmen Cejudo is a Senior Researcher at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) specializing in water and energy efficiency in buildings. Her work supports federal agencies—including the Department of Energy, Department of War, U.S. Army Reserve, and the Federal Energy Management Program—in strengthening the resilience, efficiency, and performance of building water systems through efforts such as metering, water‑use analysis, and development of robust water‑efficiency guidance.

In addition, contributes extensively to DOE’s Building Energy Codes Program through active participation in ASHRAE and IECC code development. As a former consulting Mechanical Engineer and Past President of the ASHRAE Puget Sound Chapter, Carmen brings a blend of research, field experience, and industry leadership to improving building performance nationwide.
