Biography

Cahley Jaekel is the Operations Lead for the Center for AI at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, where she helps turn the Center’s strategic vision into action by building the operational structures and partnerships that enable responsible, mission-aligned AI across the Laboratory.

Since joining PNNL in 2011, Cahley has supported and led work across operational performance, enterprise risk management, data analytics, artificial intelligence, and organizational culture. She is known for uncovering insights that improve decision-making, translating complex challenges into practical solutions, and designing processes that increase efficiency, value, and sustainability while keeping people at the center of the work.

A proud graduate of Washington State University, Cahley earned her degree magna cum laude in Humanities, with minors in Digital Technology and Culture and Communications. Her interdisciplinary background and experience enable her to bridge strategy, operations, and people-centered design in ways that foster innovation and advance institutional priorities.
