Biography

Bing Liu is the director of the Buildings and Efficiency program at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) under the Department of Energy. She is responsible for PNNL’s multi-million-dollar building portfolios across technologies research and development, laboratory testing and field validation, market adoption, energy codes, and appliance standards.

She is a nationally recognized technical leader with 30 years of experience in building codes and standards and emerging technology R&D, demonstration, and deployment. She was featured as one of the “Top 20 Women” in the HVAC industry, awarded as an ASHRAE Fellow, and recognized by the American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy (ACEEE) with a Champions of Energy Efficiency in Buildings Award in 2022.
