CME Researcher Yogesh Surendranath has been awarded a DOE Presidential Early Career Award.
Prof. Yogesh (Yogi) Surendranath, Paul M. Cook Career Development Associate Professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, was honored with a Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers (PECASE). A PECASE is the highest award given by the U.S. government for scientists who are beginning their independent research careers and who show exceptional promise for leadership in science and technology. Surendranath was honored in Washington D.C. in a ceremony in July 2019.
"We are delighted that Yogi has been recognized by this honor," said Morris Bullock, director of the Center for Molecular Electrocatalysis (CME). "The expertise he brings to the CME is crucially important to meet our goals in the design of electrocatalysts and in understanding heterogeneous interfaces from a molecular perspective."
