Meeting future energy demands involves finding ways to store energy from intermittent sources such as wind and solar. Traditionally, one may imagine the chemists doing this work leaning over bench tops full of beakers, mixing chemicals. However, modern chemistry requires modern solutions. We can use computational chemistry to tell a lot about a reaction, including where atoms are in a molecule, how they interact with one another, and how much energy is required.  Come see the exciting ways we use supercomputers to do the calculations required to meet these challenges!
