Join Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm, Washington Governor Jay Inslee, and science leaders at the virtual dedication ceremony for the new Energy Sciences Center at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL).

 

Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) invites you to attend the virtual dedication ceremony for the Energy Sciences Center (ESC), a state-of-the-art facility designed to expedite the next wave of breakthroughs in fundamental energy sciences.

The ceremony will be held Friday, October 29, 2021, from 11:15 a.m.–Noon, Pacific daylight time (2:15 p.m.–3:00 p.m., Eastern daylight time). Please register to attend via Zoom.

The dedication celebrates the combined commitment of the federal government, the state of Washington, and Battelle, to create an advanced research facility that will provide PNNL scientists and collaborators around the nation with unparalleled capabilities. Research in the ESC will help meet the nation’s decarbonization goals by reducing vehicle emissions, developing alternatives to carbon-based fuels, providing improved methods for capturing CO2, and turning waste carbon into fuels and products
