SYSTEM AND METHOD OF STORING AND ANALYZING INFORMATION
SGEM is a scalable semantic graph databse. The software platform comprises three major components: 1) a SPARQL to C compiler, 2) a mulithreaded graph library (SGLib), and 3) a custom mulithreaded runtime layer (GMT). The compiler converts SPARQL queries to data parallel C code with calls to SGLib and GMT methods. SGLib is a llibrary of graph methods and data structures. It includes methods to ingest RDF triple files, store data in a compressed neighbor graph, and multithreaded graph algorithms customized for query processing and GMT. GMT is a mulithreaded runtime system for comoodity servers, clusters, and cloud systems customized for query processing. GMT manages a global address space, tread scheduling, and data aggregation.
SYSTEM AND PROCESS FOR PURIFICATION OF ASTATINE-211 FROM TARGET MATERIALS (iEdison No. 0685901-17-0014)
A new column-based purification system and approach are described for rapid separation and purification of the alpha-emitting therapeutic radioisotope .sup.211At from dissolved cyclotron targets that provide highly reproducible product results with excellent .sup.211At species distributions and high antibody labeling yields compared with prior art manual extraction results of the prior art that can be expected to enable enhanced production of purified .sup.211At isotope products suitable for therapeutic medical applications such as treatment of cancer in human patients.
Lossless Droplet Transfer for Droplet-based Microfluidic Analysis
Entrapment of aqueous droplets containing biological and chemical species in an immiscible oil is increasingly valued as a way to process and analyze trace species. We have developed technology that enables aqueous droplets to coalesce into a separate aqueous stream, opening the door for alternative detection strategies such as mass spectrometry (MS) and making possible analytical separations prior to detection.
System and Method for Anomaly Detection
A method for decomposing a continuous variable into a collection of discrete variables for purposes of statistical modeling.
CRYO NANOMANIPULATOR WITH INTEGRATED GAS INJECTION
A nanomanipulator with integrated gas injection capability has been developed. The device features a 1/4" tube with an integrated thermocouple wire and two small diameter stainless steel tubes that terminate near a tungsten needle. The tungsten wire can be cooled to cryogenic temperatures via a copper braid connected to a cold finger. Thermal insulation between the tungsten needle and the 1/4" tube body is maintained via a plastic spacer to minimize thermal conduction. The two small diameter stainless steel tubes provide a means to inject gas which flows near the end of the tungsten needle. Gas flow can be controlled independently to each small diameter stainless steel tubes, allowing the flow of the same or different gases. The lateral and horizontal positioning of the small diameter stainless steel tubes relative to the tungsten wire is made via an attached jig. The design of the device allows the introduction of various gases into the focused ion beam/scanning electron microscope to facilitate the deposition of metallic or carbonaceous thin films on cryogentically-cooled surfaces
Data visualization methods, data visualization devices, data visualization apparatuses, and articles of manufacture
Data visualization methods, data visualization devices, data visualization apparatuses, and articles of manufacture are described according to some aspects. In one aspect, a data visualization method includes accessing a plurality of initial documents at a first moment in time, first processing the initial documents providing processed initial documents, first identifying a plurality of first associations of the initial documents using the processed initial documents, generating a first visualization depicting the first associations, accessing a plurality of additional documents at a second moment in time after the first moment in time, second processing the additional documents providing processed additional documents, second identifying a plurality of second associations of the additional documents and at least some of the initial documents, wherein the second identifying comprises identifying using the processed initial documents and the processed additional documents, and generating a second visualization depicting the second associations.
Medical Isotope Generator Systems
A prototype automated dual-column medical isotope generator system and the necessary separation chemistry have been developed for the production of Y-90 from a generator column containing Sr-90 source. The system enables hands-free "milking" of Y-90 from Sr-90 in a two-column, two-reagent system. The prototype instrument is capable of recovering > 95% of yttrium tracer within 10mL of product elution volume. Furthermore, the Y-90 eluting solution has been shown to be compatible with subsequent labeling step using a chelator.
Autonomous Sensor Fish to Support Advanced Hydropower Development
An improved sensor fish with robust design and enhanced measurement capabilities. This sensor fish contains sensors for acceleration, rotation, magnetic field intensity, pressure, and temperature. A low-power microcontroller collects data from the sensors and stores up to 5 minutes of data on a non-volatile flash memory. A rechargeable battery supplies power to the sensor fish. A recovery system helps locating sensor fish. The package, when ready for use is nearly neutrally buoyant and thus mimics the behavior of an actual fish.
