The Department of Energy’s (DOE’s) Water Power Technologies Office (WPTO) will hold the Hydropower Research and Development (R&D) Summit Talks across three virtual events in 2024. The summit will bring together representatives from both environmental and industry hydropower groups to share insights on the technological and scientific needs for sustainable hydropower in the United States. This year, attendees will explore three topics of interest from the 2023 Summit.

• Greenhouse gas emissions – May 16, 2024, 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. PT
• River connectivity – ­July 31, 2024, 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. PT
