SWEEP: An Analysis of Energy and Water Savings

Abstract

The objective of this study, which was sponosored by DOE's Office of Building Technologies, was to develop, monitor, analyze, and report on integrated resource-conservation program highlighting efficient residential appliances and fixtures. The sites of study were 50 homes in two water-constrained communities located in Oregon (Lafayette and Wilsonville). The program was designed to maximize water savings to these communities and to serve as a model for other communities seeking an integrated approach to energy and water resource efficiency.
