Biography
Tristen Myers joined Pacific Northwest Nation Laboratory (PNNL) in 2022 as a post masters research associate and became a full-time staff member in 2023 as an Earth scientist for the Marine Technology team within the Coastal Sciences Division at PNNL-Sequim. Within this role, she works on the Strategic Environmental Research and Development Program’s Ocean Technology Testbed project in Sequim Bay, Washington, where she assists with advancing fieldwork and data analysis.
Prior to PNNL, she completed a BS and MS at Oregon State University, with her master’s research focused on ocean alkalinization enhancement (OAE) research within an estuarine environment. Myers’ current research includes OAE or ocean-based carbon capture research and development, marine technology, carbonate system analysis, ocean acidification mitigation strategies for key ecological species, and developing an ocean technology testbed in Sequim Bay.
