Shuhao Bai joined Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) in 2021. As a software engineer within the Physical and Computational Sciences Directorate, he focuses on front-end development, web design, and data visualization. He has provided development and maintenance support in multiple projects including the Department of Energy’s (DOE’s) Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE) Livewire Data Platform, EERE's Benchmark Datasets of Building Environmental Conditions and Occupancy Parameters, Solid Phase Processing Web Application, and DOE's Atmospheric Radiation Measurement program.

Bai also applies his expertise in user interface design, data portal design, and improving the user experience as a mentor for the PNNL STEM—science, technology, engineering and mathematics—Education High School Intern Program.

Before joining PNNL, Bai worked in web development in the e-commerce and marketing industry.
