He is an experienced senior software and data engineer with a demonstrated history of working in the research and commercial industries. Giardinelli is skilled in cloud, big data analytics, software management, team building, capability development, and information technology strategy. 

He was previously the group leader for the Software Engineering and Architectures group where he led a team of 70+ software, cloud, data, machine learning, and test engineers at PNNL within the National Security Directorate.
