Mike Giardinelli is a software engineer and the Human-Centered Computing Group Leader. He has over 20 years of experience across a wide range of domains. He is an experienced senior software and data engineer with a demonstrated history of working in the research and commercial industries. Giardinelli is skilled in cloud, big data analytics, software management, team building, capability development, and IT strategy. 

He was previously the Group Leader for the Software Engineering and Architectures group where he lead a team of 70+ software, cloud, data, machine learning, and test engineers at PNNL within the National Security Directorate.

Giardinelli has a BA in Management Information Systems from Western Washington University.
