Biography

Melanie Godinez has been with PNNL for more than 20 years, working directly with internal and external clients as well as a broad range of stakeholders and state and local emergency response personnel. She has served in several capacities at PNNL, including Project Manager for the Puget Sound Small Vessel Preventive Radiological/Nuclear Detection Project, Boat-to-Boat Detection training project, the PNNL Digital Platforms Expert Delivery team, and the NNSA Graduate Fellowship Program. She also served as group leader for the National Security Professional Leaders group, overseeing graduate fellows and interns in the Minority-Serving Institution Partnership Program. In this role, she oversaw line management, mentorship, and leadership development for 60-100 students and team leaders. 

Melanie is currently a project manager working a diverse suite of projects serving the National Security Directorate, including efforts in the space domain and hazardous materials monitoring. Alongside these responsibilities, she conducts detailed research and analysis of client-directed resources to support informed decision-making and project outcomes.

Melanie has a Master of Business Administration in Technology Management and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, and she is also a certified Project Management Professional.
