Biography

Felipe Leon has been with PNNL since 2014 and supports the National Nuclear Security Administration's (NNSA) Office of Nuclear Smuggling Detection and Deterrence (NSDD) as Sustainability Manager for the Republic of Moldova and as the Regional Maintenance Manager leading efforts in the Latin America region.  Felipe also supports the Department of Energy's (DOE) Commercial Building Integration's (CBI) efforts as a team member of the Integrated Lighting Campaign (ILC) and Residential Building Integration's (RBI) efforts as the Adding Insulation when Re-Siding (AIRS) Campaign project lead.  Having a background in engineering, Felipe is a  solutions-oriented and analytical leader with history of success leading and contributing to projects ranging from proof­-of­-concept evaluations to product design. Skills include concept development, proposal generation, training / facilitation, team leadership, analytical problem solving, integration, and rapid prototyping. Recently, Felipe has become the subject matter expert for NSDD's Maintenance Management Workshop to support partners around the world in establishing a maintenance management plan for maintaining their radioactive detection systems.
