Biography
Chelsie Beck joined Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) in 2012 as a chemist supporting national security missions. She earned her PhD in 2021 at Washington State University with a focus on halogen chemistry. Her expertise is in elemental/isotopic analysis, chemical separations, and material characterization. Beck leads multidisciplinary teams on projects related to nuclear nonproliferation and nuclear forensics that span a variety of sponsors within the Department of Energy, National Nuclear Security Administration, Department of Defense, among others. While at PNNL, she has served as a line manager overseeing the career development of a multigenerational team and helped to strategically align capabilities and staff to future programs/projects important for the U.S. government.
