Biography

Amber Peters is a communications professional with the Sponsor-Dedicated Communications team at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL). In her role, she specializes in transforming highly technical information into accessible and engaging materials tailored to diverse audiences. Her work primarily supports the Department of Energy’s Office of Electricity, where she has developed impactful messaging and marketing materials.

Before joining PNNL, Peters honed her expertise as a communications specialist and technical editor for Washington River Protection Solutions and supported the Department of Energy’s Hanford Office of Communications. During this time, she explored the history of the Hanford Site, including its pivotal roles in the Manhattan Project and Cold War, while focusing on the ongoing cleanup of legacy waste. 

Peters earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from Washington State University in 2009. Her background includes extensive experience in legal and technical writing, research, and multimedia production, including videography and photography.
