Biography
Aaron Van Morris is an electrical engineer in the Advanced Engineered Systems group under the National Security Directorate at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory. His background is in electrical engineering with a BS from Washington State University. He is currently pursuing an MS in electrical engineering (electro-physics) with a certificate in nuclear engineering. Through his years of personal projects and education, he has gained valuable experience in digital/analog circuit design, 3D modeling and integration, numeric computation, printed circuit board (PCB) design/fabrication, and firmware/software design.
Van Morris joined the Advanced Engineered Systems group in October of 2021, where he began work streamlining a PCB manufacturing laboratory, as well as work in embedded circuit design. Since then, he’s spent years of his career working in a range of field environments for project deployments, deliveries, and executions that have all exposed him to a broad scope of technical challenges. He has a wealth of knowledge on circuit design, including radio frequency implementation. Van Morris believes in Pacific Northwest National Laboratory’s responsibility to reinforce national security and to continue the advancement of technology that will make the United States a safer place. His primary goal is to continue to apply and advance his skillset to benefit the hardworking teams of researchers that are making it happen.
