AbstractTransactive electric vehicle (TEV) agents enable the utilization of EVs' flexible resources for the benefits of both utility and customers by active market participation. In this work, we propose a TEV agent optimization with a novel slider feature that models an individual customer's willingness to participate in the transactive market. We characterize the customer amenity in the context of EV using a slider scale that provides flexibility to the customer to trade-off between comfort and savings. The impact of slider selection is analyzed on a diverse EV population. Finally, using the proposed optimization framework, we investigate the comparative benefits of vehicle-to-grid (V2G) technology compared to unidirectional smart charging (V1G).
