Rosalie Chu
Biography
Rosalie Chu is a chemist with the Biomolecular Pathways team in PNNL’s Environmental Molecular Sciences Division and the Environmental Molecular Sciences Laboratory (EMSL) user program. Chu is an expert in high-resolution mass spectrometry (MS), including Fourier transform ion cyclotron resonance MS and linear ion trapping instrumentation relevant to complex mixtures. She is proficient in sample preparation, instrument maintenance, instrumentation/data acquisition, method development, data analysis, and visualization.
Chu has experience in reverse-phase and HILIC LC-MS operation and separation optimization for the identification of peptides, lipids, and small molecules. She also has experience in MS imaging (MSI) techniques that include matrix assisted laser desorption/ionization and liquid extracted surface analysis for lipids and metabolites. She is also familiar with ion chromatography and inductively coupled plasma-MS.
Chu helps principal investigators from various institutions to design experiments through data interpretation. In addition to PNNL and EMSL, she has worked at Oregon Health Sciences University, Intel Corporation, Coffey Laboratories, and Kanto Corp.
