Rita is an experienced science communicator and writer. With a background in biology and education, she believes that science communication is no longer a privilege, but an obligation. Her passion for all things science has lead to research in Indonesia, in Hawai’i, and in South Africa. New to PNNL, Rita works in the Biology and Atmospheric Science spaces to amplify the exciting science and dedicated people in both divisions. Rita has presented both her scientific and science communication work at international conferences, and was a recent contributor to the BBC Radio Podcast The Climate Question. Find her on LinkedIn.
