Michelle and her team establish, enhance, articulate, and implement communications strategies to support PNNL's science & technology missions. Since 2016, she has combined industry best practices in communications management with knowledge of PNNL's audiences, missions, and goals in scientific discovery, sustainable energy, and national security. The stories imagined and promoted by Michelle and her team reflect the impact of PNNL's science, the investment of its sponsors, and the value to that work to stakeholders. Prior to joining PNNL, Michelle was a communications leader at colleges and universities in Washington and California. Her communications leadership, writing, and creative projects have earned her and her team members more than 50 total awards of recognition from the National Council for Marketing and Public Relations, California's Community College Public Relations Organization, and from the Council for Advancement and Support of Education.
