Biography

Mi Yeon Byun is currently a postdoctoral researcher in the Physical Sciences Division at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory. Her research focuses on designing catalysts for H2 storage-release systems. She received her doctoral degree from Pusan National University and the Korea Institute of Industrial Technology in 2021. After receiving her PhD, she joined the University of Kansas as a postdoctoral researcher where she was involved in a project that focused on producing plastic precursors from bio-based materials.
