Biography

Mariah Doughman is a post doctorate research associate in the Subsurface Science group at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL). Since joining PNNL in 2023, Doughman’s work has focused primarily on contaminant fate and transport in the subsurface. Her work has included testing potential remediation technologies and their implementation for multiple contaminants via batch and column studies. Additionally, she has supported projects focused on assessing cementitious waste forms for stabilization of waste and has conducted solid phase characterization of sediment and materials including X-ray absorption spectroscopy to determine fundamental contaminant fate and material performance mechanisms.
