This has involved work with radiochemistry of the actinides, fission products, and activation products as well as their measurement in environmental systems. In addition, he is leading international efforts to strengthen non-proliferation treaty verification to mitigate emissions detected in monitoring networks. This involves working with radiochemists in industry to study emission points in their process and to develop new ways to monitor their emissions with a goal towards treaty verification.
