Biography

Jason Toyoda is a chemist on the Biomolecular Pathways team in the Environmental Molecular Sciences Division and the Environmental Molecular Sciences Laboratory's (EMSL) user program. Toyoda works closely with biological high-resolution mass spectrometry, and he works mainly with soils, extracting organic compounds and molecules that are locked within the samples. He compares soils from different regions to understand nutrient cycling and biogeochemical processes within them.
