Biography

Doug Nordwall is an expert in analytical models, network sensing, and network analytic methodologies for cybersecurity.  He has led the development of new sensors and automated analysis techniques that have been delivered via several high-profile cybersecurity programs for the energy sector across the U.S. and internationally. Multiple federal agencies routinely rely on Nordwall to directly interface with government and commercial partners overseas to design and implement new cybersecurity techniques and consistently seek his technical expertise to help shape the way their analytics are approached and implemented. He has designed new data analysis pipelines that have significantly increased throughput and reduced downtime, and pioneered a new analytics approach to bridge information technology and operational technology (IT/OT) environments. Nordwall has a track record of identifying and mentoring high-performing new talent, and making connections across disciplines. He previously served the National Security Directorate as a Team Leader.
