Bryan Gerber
Biography
Bryan Gerber has been at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) since 2010 and is currently a principal software engineer in the AI and Data Analytics division. His focus is using cloud and edge computing to build software and data pipelines. His domain experience is varied, with major projects involving AI/ML, aviation security, border security, biometrics, sensor data processing, grid resilience, cyber intelligence, and risk modeling.
Recently he has led or participated in several working groups with government and industry to standardize automatic threat recognition interfaces for non-intrusive inspection. Previously, Gerber has supported test and evaluation projects at PNNL as a system integrator, including projects for small vessel standoff detection, the Radiation Portal Monitor program, ITRAP+10, and basic handheld detector programs. He has wide expertise automating high-quality data acquisition and analysis to support test and evaluation efforts and acquisition programs for law enforcement, military, and first responders.
Prior to PNNL, Gerber spent nine years at a Fortune 500 company working on various IT infrastructure and software projects for the Department of Energy, Department of Homeland Security, the Department of Defense, and the United States Intelligence Community. He has also created software supporting internal audits, ISO 9001, NQA-1, and SOX compliance programs. He has a BS in computer science from Washington State University.
