Biography
Dr. Brienne Seiner earned her PhD in chemistry from University of Missouri in 2010. Immediately following her graduation, she joined the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) and has since dedicated her time to cutting-edge nuclear forensics and nonproliferation research. Her notable contributions span the discovery of innovative radiochemical separation techniques, understanding the movement and deposition of nuclear debris, and harnessing data science applied to national security problems. She is recognized as PNNL's principal advocate for the Nonproliferation Stewardship Program under NNSA and currently leads the multilaboratory effort in plutonium processing of irradiated fuel known as Athena, and is the program manager for PNNL’s defense nuclear nonproliferation R&D program.
