Biography
Bethany Lee is a communications professional at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL), specializing in creating impactful content and fostering engagement across various platforms. With a focus on events, storytelling, and award initiatives, Lee works to amplify the Laboratory’s mission and achievements, ensuring PNNL’s research and innovations reach key audiences. Whether helping to coordinate high-profile events, crafting compelling stories, or supporting recognition efforts, Lee strives to enhance PNNL’s institutional visibility and influence.
Lee graduated from Washington State University (WSU) with a degree in communication, double majoring in journalism and comparative ethnic studies. She began her career as a reporter for the Tri-City Herald, then shifted to fundraise for United Way of Benton & Franklin Counties and Northwest Public Radio. She provided her marketing skills at Focal Point Marketing, Visit Tri-Cities, and Century 21 Tri-Cities, where she created broadcast commercials, managed digital campaigns, and worked with local community partners on large events.
As a proud WSU communications graduate, Lee currently serves on the Kennewick Arts Commission Board, championing local artists. She loves to cook with her family and knit all year round, though she can only make scarves.
