Biography

Andrew White is a systems engineer at the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory. He researches and analyzes infrastructure to support access, affordability, resilience, and security. White’s work spans energy, water, and the environment. His deliverables contribute to the evaluation and improvement of infrastructure across a variety of settings. White directly engages with external stakeholders in multiple sectors, from community-based organizations to federal agencies. He has led and contributed to discussions, forums, and symposia with community organizers, national research center directors, and federal agency executives.

White completed an international Fulbright Fellowship in political ecology at the Lancaster Environment Centre in the United Kingdom. His research there led to further international fieldwork on infrastructure development in Jamaica.

His previous experience includes working on major projects and providing infrastructure advisory consulting in the private sector. His work produced research-driven insights about the benefits and feasibility of participating in the global voluntary carbon markets. White supported federal resilience and sustainability programs in the buildings sector. He contributed to the award-winning development, pilot, and technical assistance of the Federal Energy Management Program’s Technical Resilience Navigator.
