Biography

Andrew Ritchhart is a materials chemist who has worked at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory since 2023. His work focuses on chemical separations, X-ray characterization of materials, and exploring AI and agentic workflows for automated laboratory research. Previously he worked as a postdoctoral researcher with Professor John Anderson at the University of Chicago studying novel magnetic material synthesis. He earned his PhD in inorganic chemistry from the University of Washington in Professor Brandi Cossairt’s group studying atomically precise nano-cluster synthesis and characterization.
