Anastasiia Zagoruichyk
Biography
Anastasiia Zagoruichyk is an energy and climate policy expert with over five years of experience in academia, the public sector, and journalism. As a research associate at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, she collaborates with U.S. federal agencies and governments in emerging economies on strategic energy security and net-zero transition initiatives. Zagoruichyk’s areas of expertise include energy analysis and modeling, climate transparency, advanced technologies, and industrial decarbonization. In addition, she is involved in project management, proposal development, donor reporting, and the facilitation of capacity building workshops.
With BA degrees in political science and international law and an MSc degree in sustainability, she bridges technical research and policy implementation. Her journalistic experience at the U.K. media outlet Carbon Brief, along with her role as head editor for the Oxford Climate Review, demonstrates her ability to translate complex data into accessible insights for diverse audiences.
