Ali is a trained scientist and science communicator who enjoys helping researchers translate their work into engaging stories and materials. Prior to joining PNNL in 2022, Ali earned her PhD in Oceanography from the Scripps Institution of Oceanography and then transitioned to science writing, editing, and strategic communications. At PNNL, she supports communications across topics including energy and building technologies as well as critical minerals.
