PNNL-Sequim has a 720-square-feet greenhouse with an automated roof and side venting so that researchers can work under natural lighting with controlled thermal conditions. The greenhouse has plumbing for salt or freshwater supply and discharges to either clean-water or treated-effluent systems. Its lighting systems can provide variable day-length conditions. Finally, its full 110/220 V electrical supply provides power to any desired research equipment.
