The Topic 1 webinar will feature presentations on what transmission and distribution information is currently shared between utility networks and potential future standardized data exchanges needed for the reliable operation of the grid. Additionally, the current standards landscape for the utility industry and specific DER related data, distribution forecast data and load shedding will be discussed. Specifically, you will hear from subject matter experts in the following areas:

  • DOE's Grid Reliability Initiative Through Data Standardization (GRIDS)
  • MAPLE LEAF/BRANCH - VELCO/PNNL/ORNL
  • COMMANDER Microgrids Network for Communication and Data Flows
