June 13–16
Pacific Northwest National Laboratory is hosting the 2022 International Conference on River Connectivity June 13–16, 2022. The hybrid conference will feature global innovations for next-generation fish passage technology, advanced research being done in the laboratory, and technology tested in nearby rivers.
This year’s conference features plenary speakers Carol Evans, the chairperson of the Spokane Tribe of Indians and first woman to serve as Tribal chair; Dr. Evelyn Habit, PhD, a fish biologist and professor at the Universidad de Concepción in Chile; and Dr. Gordon O’Brien, PhD, professional researcher at the University of Mpumalanga and Rivers of Life Programme in South Africa. In addition to the planned presentation and poster sessions June 14–16th, there will be workshops held June 13th and field trips June 17th.
The International Conference on River Connectivity has been held internationally since 2011 to bring together topic experts, managers, stakeholders, and companies from around the world to discuss and address challenges in fish passage through the lens of engineering, biology, management, and society. At this conference, attendees can increase research opportunities, connect with future collaborators, and promote professional networking in the field of fish passage.
