Code, Camera, Action! Training Robust Computer Vision Models
Presented by Eleanor Byler and Elise Bishoff.

Presented by Eleanor Byler and Elise Bishoff.
Have you ever wondered how self-driving cars visualize their surroundings? Are you curious why facial recognition models are so easily fooled? Join PNNL data scientists Eleanor Byler and Elise Bishoff on a trip behind the lens to see the world through the eyes of a computer.
PNNL scientists will talk about the computer vision algorithms used in everything from Snapchat filters to disaster response planning, and reveal the secrets behind building the most robust models. PNNL scientists will break down the information into bite-sized bytes as they teach you about deep learning and how it is used at PNNL to make the world a safer and more secure place. In this talk, you will get to train (and break) your own computer vision model and will walk away with the tools to train a robust computer vision model at home within minutes: a model trained to recognize your pet, determine if a banana is ripe, or anything else you can imagine!
