PyFLEXTRKR for atmospheric feature tracking
- The Python FLEXible object TRacKeR (PyFLEXTRKR) is a flexible atmospheric feature tracking software package. The software can track any 2D objects and handle merging and splitting explicitly. PyFLEXTRKR has specialized capabilities to track convective clouds from a variety of observations and model simulations, including: 1) individual convective cells, and 2) mesoscale convective systems (MCS) using radar, satellite, and model data.

A U.S. dataset of isolated deep convection and MCS
- The database provides high-resolution (4-km, hourly) tracking of mesoscale convective systems (MCSs) and isolated deep convection events (IDC) east of the Rocky Mountains over the contiguous United States from 2004 – 2017.

A global MCS tracking dataset
- The global high-resolution (10-km, hourly) MCS tracking dataset provides automated identification and lifecycle evolution of individual MCS events, along with a suite of important MCS characteristics including lifetime, size, movement and a suite of surface precipitation feature characteristics. The dataset is available from 2000 – 2020.

TMeCSR mesoscale reanalysis
- A high-resolution tropical mesoscale convective system reanalysis product overing a region spanning the tropical Indian Ocean, tropical continental Asia, the Maritime Continent, and the Western Pacific where MCS frequently occur. The TMeCSR is produced by assimilating all-sky infrared radiances from geostationary satellite and other conventional observations into an MCS-resolving regional model using the Ensemble Kalman Filter (EnKF). Data is available at 9-km grid spacing for the three boreal summer months (June-August) of 2017.
