Biography

Kalyn Dorheim is an Earth scientist at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory’s (PNNL’s) Joint Global Change Research Institute in College Park, MD. Dorheim joined PNNL in 2017 as a post-bachelor research associate after earning a degree in environmental studies and biology from St. Olaf College. In 2024, she earned a master's in applied and computational mathematics from Johns Hopkins University. She is one of the technical leads for Hector, PNNL’s reduced-complexity Earth system model.
