Biography
Jessica Skidmore is the group leader for the Systems Integration (SI) group as of July 2022, responsible for stewarding the expertise of the SI group, comprising approximately 55 staff members. The group has deep expertise in project management and is focused on the deployment of technology into the hands of end-users. The SI group houses one of Pacific Northwest National Laboratory’s (PNNL’s) flagship capabilities—leadership of complex integration projects. These projects cover the globe by deploying technology for use by foreign partners. This includes a mission spanning border security and securing nuclear materials, including deploying domestically at U.S. borders.
Skidmore is also an experienced project manager in the National Security Directorate at PNNL, where she is responsible for leading teams in the research industry. Since joining PNNL in 2009, she's supported several large technology deployment programs—The Radiation Portal Monitor Project and Nuclear Smuggling Detection and Deterrence—by working with stakeholders and teams to achieve common goals and outcomes.
Skidmore has a Bachelor’s in Management and Organizational Leadership from George Fox University and is currently pursuing her MS in Security and Resilience Studies at Northeastern University. Skidmore is a certified Basic Instructor and an Agile Certified Scrum Master.
