Partners in STEM Education
As a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) laboratory, PNNL is committed to engaging and inspiring the future STEM workforce. DOE and many other research organizations depend on the science and technical skills of the next generation for fundamental science discovery, technical innovation, energy advancements, and national security, to name just a few.
PNNL collaborates with and supports the following organizations to advance STEM education in Washington State and beyond. Together, we can create a pathway that attracts more students to STEM fields and supports them on their academic journey.
“The partnership that ESD 123 and PNNL have maintained over the years has become a tremendous value for our local teachers. Together we support the growth of teachers’ instructional practices by providing opportunities to see how science is applied in the real world. These experiences assist teachers in better preparing students to be the problem solvers of the next generation.” — Lorianne Donovan-Hermann, Regional Science Coordinator/SE LASER Alliance Director, ESD 123
