Engineering Deinococcus geothermailis for Bioremediation of High-Temperature Radioactive Waste Environments

Abstract

Deinococcus geothermalis is an extremely radiation-resistant termophilic bacterium closely related to the mesophile Deinococcus radiodurans, which is being engineered for in situ bioremediation of radioactive wastes.
