Autonomous Acoustic Receiver System for 3D Tracking and Monitoring Real-Time Fish Survival - CRADA 448 (Abstract)

Abstract

Develop technologies that reduce the delay between changing hydropower operations and the acquisition of knowledge regarding fish behavior and survival and to reduce the cost and effort to obtain behavioral information of fish that is both accurate and detailed. The technologies being proposed would allow hydropower operators to quickly understand the impact of operational changes on fish and allow fisheries researchers to study fish behavior in high resolution at locations that previously would have been unfeasible.
